Hawk Insurance Agency was established in 1938 by Joseph M. Hawk. The agency was first located on Kater Avenue in Harrison, Ohio until 1987 when it was relocated to its current location just blocks away on Harrison Avenue. Joe worked at the Agency while still a Principal at the Bridgetown Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Upon retiring in the early 1960’s, Joe continued his work full-time at the Agency and built the company based on its founding principles of honesty, service and community. As business grew, Joe’s need for help grew, too, so in the early 1970’s Larry Lipps and Kevin Lyons joined in the Agency. In 1976, the agency was incorporated and has provided reliable insurance to customers in the tri-state ever since.

Kevin Lyons has been in the insurance business since 1973. He graduated from Elder High School in 1972 and obtained his business degree from Xavier University in 1976. He is licensed in Property & Casualty, Life and Health insurance. After growing up on the west side of Cincinnati, he moved to the Harrison community in 1979. He has been very involved in a number of organizations in Harrison over the years, including working with the Harrison Junior Baseball Association, the Harrison Chamber of Commerce and the Harrison Mayor's fund, all while coaching youth sports and volunteering. He is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Ohio, The Cincinnati Insurance Board and the Trusted Choice Brand. He brings his vast knowledge and experience in the insurance business to work every day in order to provide the best insurance solutions for his clients in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

Larry Lipps has been in the insurance business since 1968. He worked part-time while attending Elder High School and Xavier University at the Agency with the original owner, Joe Hawk. After graduating from Xavier University, he joined the agency as a full-time employee. In 1976, the agency incorporated and he became part-owner. He has extensive knowledge of auto, home, life and small to medium size business needs. He is a member of the Cincinnati Insurance Board and Independent Insurance Agents of Ohio.

Patrick Lyons graduated from LaSalle High School in 2005 and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Miami University in 2009. After graduation he worked as a Logistics Account Executive at Total Quality Logistics. As a Logistics Account Executive Patrick learned valuable lessons in professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail while dealing with large companies across the United States and Canada. Patrick joined the agency part time in 2011 learning the ropes of the industry and obtained his Property and Casualty License in September of 2011.

Gayle graduated from Mother of Mercy High School in 1976 and began working in the insurance industry immediately upon graduation. She joined the Hawk Insurance Agency team in 1987 and provided customer service for all lines of insurance. She later became a licensed agent specializing in the service of Property and Casualty insurance.

Carol graduated from Mother of Mercy High School in 1982. Upon graduation she spent seven years as a CSR for an independent insurance agency in the area. After staying home to raise her children, she joined Hawk Agency in 2007 where she provides excellent, friendly customer service.
